IB Exhibition Project: Diabetes Awareness
             American Diabetes Association Alert Day was March 25th.  The diabetes risk test asks you simple questions about weight, age, family history, and other risk factors for Prediabetes and Type 2 diabetes.  For every test taken, Boars Head Brand will donate $5 to the American Diabetes Association from March 25th-April 25th. Its fast!  Its free!  Its easy!  It only takes 60 seconds and it could save your life.  You can access the risk test by following the link provided below.

Kudos: String Olympics Trophy
      Four Aldrich students participated in String Olympics on Saturday, March 10th at the Strauss Performing Arts Center on the campus of UNO. They each prepared a solo piece and performed it for a judge. As a result of their dedication and excellent work, Aldrich received a trophy for the elementary school with the most points. Congratulatios!
2nd Graders Skype with Author
 
   

On Wednesday, March 26, students in Mrs. Bellmore's 2nd grade classroom Skyped with children's book author Daniel Kirk.  Mr. Kirk is best known for his Library Mouse picture book series.  Students asked the author numerous questions and gained some insight into how he develops his stories and illustrations.  What a wonderful way to use technology to communicate with others!
North Middle School Information Night
 Millard North Middle School will be hosting a parent information night on April 29th.  Fifth graders slotted to attend Millard North Middle School will visit the school on May 2nd.  Click here for more information.
